Going private....

I am beyond disturbed... I had someone from France that I have never meant leave me a comment on a picture of my kids. I have never felt weird about having my blog open.... until now. It scares me to think that random people are looking at pictures of my children! So please leave me your email address if you want me to invite you to continue checking out the latest on the Allen's.... Thanks!

One year older, and wiser too.... Happy Birthday to you!

2 years ago, we were blessed with our 3rd little girl. Born on New Year's Eve, there will surely always be a party on her birthday!! She continually cracks us up and she is so loved by everyone. We are so grateful to have this adorable little 2 year old in our lives!!

2 Things We Love About Reese:

1. So SWEET.... most of the time!

2. Loves to entertain.... will even sacrifice her own body if it gets her a laugh!

We love you so much Reese.... Happy 2nd Birthday!

Christmas

This Christmas was so fun. Reesie was finally big enough to "get it". She was so funny unwrapping everything, whether it was hers or not!! My pictures are limited.... We have more, but its mostly clothes. The older girls both wanted DSi's from Santa which they got and Reesie got a baby and a stroller.... She pushes the stroller around the house all day, but it rarely has the baby in it!! We are so grateful for all that we have and especially grateful for our families that we were able to spend time with over the holidays.

Christmas Angels

My husband is a scrooge.... He hates the way that the world celebrates Christmas. Not for its real purpose, but for presents. So we decided the girls needed to participate in something that would help those less fortunate than them this Christmas. They each got to pick an angel off the tree that was around their age, and then we went shopping for them. They had such a good time, even if there were a few "I wish I could have one of these".... Overall, I think they had a good experience helping little girls who otherwise wouldn't have had anything under the tree. They got a dose of just how fortunate they really are... Jordan is thinking about next Thanksgiving in a soup kitchen!!

I shoulda been a cowboy....

We got to go to Ft. Thomas this past weekend for the big Norton family reunion. All my kids kept asking me was if they could ride horses while we were there. Thanks to Jordan's cousin, we did! It was all of their first times and they LOVED it! Even cute Nixon, my nephew, was freaking out until it was his turn.... He wanted on that horse so bad! Just like his dad, I think he was "meant to be a cowboy". We had such a good time with Jordan's family.... My little girls loved the country life! I'm not sure I could get used to all the dirt or the lack of a Target, but it is for sure fun to visit!! (And by the way.... check out the GORGEOUS clouds!!)
